Associate Director Blaire Gagnon kicks off the 2018 winter speaker series: On Pettaquamscutt: Presentations on the Environment and the History of the Narrow River Watershed. She will present on the findings of the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities’s funded South County Sampler Initiative that has documented over 100+ historic schoolgirl samplers in South County. The On Pettaquamscutt speaker series is presented by: Friends of Canonchet Farm, Narrow River Preservation Association, South County Museum and the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library with generous support from Trio Restaurant. All presentations are held at the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library. Space is limited so reservations are required and can be made through the online system during the month preceding each talk.
