| Rich Bell and Katy Croff, both of Narragansett, recently made their own wedding invitations at SCM's Museum Press, creating their own design, picking their fonts, setting the type and running off copies on a small hand-operated press, all under the tutelage of Museum printer Ed Shunney. Once they saw the print shop, Rich explains, "it seemed like it would be fun to do." It took several weeks of a day here and a day there, but they agreed the effort was worthwhile. Traditional letter-press techniques produce results, evident to a discerning eye, that cannot be achieved by any other means, according to Shunney. | ||
