South County Museum’s Living History Farm is home to two heritage Rhode Island Red Chicken flocks. Each year, the museum hatches almost 200 baby chicks.
Please come start your 4th of July weekend with us on ON SATURDAY, JULY 3RD. The Annual Chick Hatch is a great way to share the new life on the farm with young and old alike. Between 400 – 600 visitors join us each year for one of the museum’s most popular events to celebrate our Rhody pride in the state’s favorite bird.
If you are a faithful flock follower, consider making a donation online using the “Support” section or by phone. Donations of $20.00 or more will receive a free stuffed animal baby chick to cuddle at home! With your support, we are confident that the museum can weather this storm because birds of a feather flock together. Thank you!
